Learning to improve nutrition activities in Vientiane Province, 25-26 February 2021

The Vientiane Province Nutrition Stakeholders’ Learning Workshop was held from 25-26 February 2021, co-hosted by GDA and Caritas together with the Luang Prabang Provincial Nutrition Committee.
As part of their support for achieving the National Nutrition Strategy and Plan of Action 2016-2020 (NNSPA), seven organisations representing the Lao Scaling Up Nutrition Civil Society Alliance (SUN CSA Laos) shared their nutrition lessons and successes with the Provincial Nutrition Committee in Vientiane Province.
There were more than 70 participants, including District Nutrition Committee representatives from 11 districts and Provincial Nutrition Committee representatives, together with staff from INGO and Lao CSOs.
The multi-sectoral nutrition education workshop aimed to bring together government and civil society organizations to share lessons learned from the implementation of nutrition projects, in support of the 22 government nutrition priorities in the NNSPA 2016-2020. It is also an exchange of lessons, experiences and tools used in the implementation of the actual nutrition work, reflecting the good results and the gaps that need to be improved to make the program achieve improved nutrition in communities.
