Congratulation the Government of Lao PDR for the successful of the 7th National Nutrition Forum took place in Vientiane on 16 February 2022!
The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Prof. Dr. Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune, Deputy Prime Minister of Lao PDR, Chair of National Committee for Nutrition and H.E. Ms. Ina Marčiulionytė, Ambassador of the European Union to Lao PDR, and Dr. Pia Rebello Britto, UNICEF Representative to Lao PDR. The government presented the successes, strengths, constraints, and challenges of implementation of the National Nutrition Strategy and Plan of Action in 2021, as well as the priorities for 2022. Many stakeholders including mass organizations, business, University, and Development Partners gave the remarks on their key achievements and commitment on NUTRITION. Thanks to Chanthalangsy Sisouvanh, the Director of RDA, for giving an update from SUN CSA.
Malnutrition is a problem we must address together. All organisations in SUN CSA will do our part to support nutrition for growth so we can achieve better nutrition faster. Future generations –and this generation – await our success.
