In 2024, the 77 member organisations of SUN CSA Laos celebrate 10 years of improving nutrition as a network in Laos!
The SUN CSA network is strong because all members have contributed, shared and collaborated their nutrition skills, knowledge and resources.
Over the past decade, civil society organisations, both Lao and international, have come together and built one of the country’s strongest networks for coordination, advocacy, shared learning, research and improvement of nutrition.
Collectively we have conducted over 400 joint nutrition activities in 10 years (an average of 3 activities per month): approximately 157 coordination activities; 135 learning events and 120 Advocacy events.
In the past 3 months alone, our network has conducted 28 joint activities – more than 8 activities per month. The strength and active participation of the network today has been built over time, starting back in 2014.
Our network is active also due to the support of other partners in SUN Laos – including the government of Laos, our international donor countries, as well as various UN agencies and Lao businesses and universities. Also, a special thanks to Plan International for funding and hosting the SUN CSA Secretariat for the past 10 years.
Let’s all continue to strengthen nutrition in Lao PDR over the coming decade, for a healthier, more prosperous people and nation.
