More than 20 people from SUN CSA members organisations joined the first SUN CSA Friday Hangout of 2022 today. The participants learned on how Save the Children support the government of Lao PDR to set up Breastfeeding Model Hospitals in Laos since very beginning until announcement of the first two Breastfeeding Model Hospitals in Laos in Late November 2021, including identifying and designing the assessment tools, assessment process and analysis process. The participants were also shared on how SCI conducted interviews with mothers, which is one of the key assessment tools for this.
Breastfeeding Model Hospitals Project will be implemented at district level as well (District hospital, and Health Care – in the future). SUN CSA Member Organisations can get involved by introduce this project to the hospitals in their targeted district, and introduce the hospital that has potential with Save the Children team.
