Almost 30 staff from SUN CSA member organisations had a very lively discussion at SUN CSA’s Friday Hangout on the topic “Climate Change and Food Security”.
From the presentation, we learned more about the negative impacts of climate change, including on health and nutrition, economics, gender inequality, and violence. We also shared ideas about climate change mitigation and adaptation, which help to address the root cause and existing impacts of climate change. Sustainable Agriculture Techniques for Climate Change is used as a tool in CARE’s projects, including promotion of diversified and sustainable agriculture for the community, promotion of access to agro-climate information services, and promotion of awareness on P-FALUPAM and Value Chains.
A VERY BIG THANKS to Casey Morrison for sharing lessons from your project and increasing our knowledge on climate change mitigation and adaptation in order to help our work to ensure the communities in Laos have food security.
