It was inspiring to hear strong commitments from government ministries, the provincial nutrition committee, donors, UN agencies, businesses, and, of course, SUN CSA Laos in advancing nutrition efforts.
A special thank you to Dr. Southisouk Inthavilay from PFHA – Promotion of Family Health Association, Co-Chair for SUN CSA MC for delivering SUN CSA Laos’ remarks, highlighting our record 101 joint activities in 2024, expanding food security and climate change campaigns, and strengthening breastfeeding advocacy. Her message reinforced the need for multi-sectoral collaboration and urgency in tackling malnutrition through policy, research, and action, aligning with the 9th National Socio-Economic Development Plan (NSEDP), which prioritizes nutrition as a key driver of sustainable growth and human capital development.
This forum was also a great opportunity for SUN CSA members to showcase their impactful work and strengthen partnerships for a healthier Laos!
