The SUN CSN Asia Regional Gathering 2025 took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from February 17-21, gathering representatives from 19 Civil Society Alliances (CSAs) to combat malnutrition and promote sustainable nutrition.
Key highlights included sharing achievements and best practices, aligning advocacy for the upcoming 2025 Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit, and workshops on governance and resource mobilization.
The gathering emphasized core values of equity, inclusion, and collaboration and established strategic objectives focusing on strengthening organizational systems, enhancing local civil society capacities, and fostering supportive policy environments. Advocacy tactics include engaging with government bodies, meeting decision-makers, providing technical assistance, and mobilizing public campaigns.
Next steps involve evaluating the regional meeting, mobilizing for N4G, drafting and finalizing the regional strategy for 2026-2030, and establishing an executive committee.
